(George Francis Dew) to the previous owner, Dr. and Mrs Arthur M. Greenwood, a fine copy of a First Edition Thus. 162 pp. and with plentiful black-and-white illustrations in text. "Captain Lightfoot, whose real name was Michael Martin, is believevd to have been the last person in Massachusetts to be hanged for highway robbery. Shortly before his execution he dictated an account of his life and adventures" (which is reprinted here) - from Preface. Sturdy, attractive, tightly bound, internally clean hardcover copy, with unbruised tips, neat and tidy paste-downs; not ex-library, with neither highlighting nor underlining. Bright and shiny dust jacket, illustrated, showing only very minor wear, protected by a plastic coat, dust jacket not being price-clipped. Complete with a half-title page, title page, Preface by G.F.D., Advertisement to the First Edition by F.W. Waldo, Advertisement to the Third Edition, a list of illustrations, and then 162 pp. and with note stipulating that this was the inaugural volume published by The Wayside Press.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards.
