Book First Edition
Hardcover. Condition: Good. Maj Lindman (illustrator). 1st Edition. The Swedish writer, illustrator and sculptor, Maj Lindman (1886-1972) was a prolific creator of children's books and is best known for two series: the "Snipp, Snapp, Snurr" series, about blond, blue-eyed boy triplets, and the "Flicka, Ricka, Dicka" series about blond, blue-eyed girl triplets. These are good, old-fashioned, wholesome tales of virtuous children, illustrated with bold, colorful pictures. This entry in the boy series was first published in Sweden and, like most of the series, was reissued by Albert Whitman in the 1990's. This is the first US edition and comes without a translator credited. This is an OK-ish ex-library copy. Spine ends and corners are a little worn, rear endpaper shows signs of a pocket removed, and both endpapers have a small stamp obliterated with marker. Edges and margins are slightly thumbed and just a tad grubby, but this is a sound and not unattractive copy.
