Book
Paperback. Condition: Very Good. Cosgrave, John O'Hara, II (illustrator). xxxvii, 282 pages, illustrations; 22 cm. Tight, clean copy. Light shelfwear to wraps, age toning. "The best-loved poems from one of American literature's most towering figures. No poet is more emblematically American than Robert Frost. From 'The Road Not Taken' to 'Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening,' he refined and even defined our sense of what poetry is and what it can do. T. S. Eliot judged him 'the most eminent, the most distinguished Anglo-American poet now living,' and he is the only writer in history to have been awarded four Pulitzer Prizes. Henry Holt is proud to announce the republication of four editions of Frost's most beloved work for a new generation of poets and readers. In this brilliant selection of Frost's classic poems, students and scholars alike will encounter a body of work central to American culture. / Robert Frost (1874-1963) is widely regarded as one of America's finest poets. He was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Poetry on four different occasions, and also served as Consultant in Poetry at the Library of Congress." - Publisher. Size: 8vo.

Book Signed
Soft cover. Condition: Poor. John O'Hara Cosgrave II (illustrator). Robert Frost signed the book on page 194, just beneath the poem "Stopping By Woods on a Snowy Evening" in blue fountain pen ink. This is the stated 4th printing of the Pocket Library edition, from December 1958. 4 1/8 by 6 3/8. 263 pp.This old paperback has darkened pages and is brittle. It must be handled quite gently. The book's previous owner told me she had a chance meeting with Frost at a library in 1959 and this is the only copy of his poetry she could find for him to sign, and she asked him to please sign her favorite poems. Several pages are detached but in place. Because of this, I have given it a Poor rating. Signed by Author(s).
