Corners and ends of spine slightly worn, covers mostly clean with some fingerprinting. Spine toned, binding tight and text very clean. Journals. RGR.
Second impression (hardback0. 12mo (19cm by 13cm), xvi, 252pp. Original green cloth. the binding is a little rubbed, the endpapers are browned, there is a library bookplate to the rear pastedown, and occasional neat pancil annotations. Overall, this book is in good condition. Suitable as a reading, working or reference copy.

Library stamp on front paste-down, no other library marks. Near fine. Dj lacks the front flap, the spine has been reattached to the panels with sellotape and has a 4.5cm section missing from the foot. All extremities are worn. Poor. Acquired from Maud Lloyd, an admired leading dancer with Ballet Rambert in the 1930s. Later she wrote, with her husband, Nigel Gosling, influential dance books and reviews under the pseudonym, 'Alexander Bland'. When Rudolph Nureyev defected in 1961, they became his surrogate parents.
