Hardcover. Condition: Like New. Immediate dispatch from Somerset. Book in excellent unread/unused condition. See images. Fantastic book. About the book >.>.> I imagined it as a collection of essays, some of which I had already written for the weh, and some of which I would write from scratch, to follow ideas I had been con- templating on the themes of wonder, honour and memory. My first surprise came when I set about what I had intended to be a light edit of the articles I'd already published on the web. While I'd considered them nearly finished, I realized that when I imagined them in print, they were not nearly ready. Further, as I rolled up my sleeves to get them into shape and began the research required to do so, I was horrified to discover how frankly incorrect some of them were. The inaccuracies contained in the web version of 'Ye Olde Graphic Designer alone were enough to make me disavow authorship. What I gained in veracity, however, I lost in a certain irreverent immediacy of writing style. The barbed, humorous tone - complete with taunts and jibes - of my original versions was somehow lost, despite my best intentions. There's no doubt in my mind that the web and the printed page are two differe.
