Corners are bumped with cardboard showing through. Heavy creasing to rear cover. 7 pieces of clear tape have been applied to spine. Spine is torn at top and bottom at front hinge. Text block is separated from rear cover, but remains firmly attached to front cover. Previous owner's name in ink to front paste-down. Age-toned pages are free of marks and notations. Binding is tender but intact. Though admitedly worn, this children's book retains its charm with its delightful story and colorful illustrations.

The stories are mostly about two children's rides on a donkey, in a cart, a sailboat, a pony, and an airplane. The large illustrations are in color. There are a few, small, b/w illustrations. The spine strip is missing 3 1/2 in. The boards' corners are frayed, and the edges are rubbed. The boards have heavy, shelf wear soiling. The front board has a horizontal, light, bend line. The back board has a 1 3/8 in., light, crack line. The text block ends have darkened; the bottom end has a few scraped spots. The front endpaper has a gift inscription, with a date in 1935. Some of the illustrations have caused a light shadow on the facing pages. Scans e-mailed upon request.
