Estas investigaciones ofrecen alternativas de uso de los desechos de producciones agrícolas como fuente de obtención de productos naturales biológicamente activos, como la bromelina, mediante tecnologías simples y escalables. La profundización en los estudios de actividad antitumoral mostrada por la bromelina permitiría proponer el uso clínico de la proteasa.
