Plain text dustwrapper with black coloured titles to the front panel and backstrip. In this book 3 authors talk about the Protestant press  Martin E. Marty, Catholic press  John G. Deedy, Jr. And the Jewish press  David W. Silverman, in America with an overarching commentary by Robert Lekachmann. Each author gives a brief history of journalism in their particular fields with an analysis of their audience and of the special needs which are being served. Softening of the lower backstrip edge with sunning to the top edge. Some foxing spots to the top edge with very light age toning of the text block edges and pages. Previous owners name to the top right hand corner of the free front end page and page 33. Faint offset tanning to the end pages. Chipping to the dustwrapper corners and to the lower backstrip edge. Rubbing and creasing of the dustwrapper edges with quite noticeable rubbing of the panels. Price sticker to the front panel with sunning to all panels. There is a small piece missing top of the rear panel; along with some stains to the rear panel stop triangular crease to the top left-hand corner of the rear fold over panel and there is remnants of a price sticker to be seen to the top right hand corner of the front fold over panel.
