Lightest rubbing, slight edgewear, contents bright, clean and unmarked with tight, sound binding; very good+. See, Driver's Culinary Landmarks, Page No. 238-239. Reference Q249.1; Q249.2; Q249.3; Q249.4. Based on Driver's bibliography we believe this title to best match the description from #Q249.2. Driver states: "No copyright date is given. This edition has only nineteen numbered steps for making the dough, (Q249.1) has twenty-two steps. The title-page and text are printed in red and black." Rita Martin's signature on the verso of the front cover has a slant to the right, whereas later editions are upright with no slant neither to the right nor the left.
