die-cut shape book. Condition: Good Plus/VG-. 9" tall, 3 1/2" wide, thick pictorial paper-cover card boards. Very scarce and sought-after children's die-cut shape book from 1927, with front and back cover illustration by the excellent illustrator Chloe Preston (name is not present but known to be her work). Text by May Byron. This copy in close to Very Good condition (G+/VG-) with a nice outward appearance (see both photos enlarged) but with paper loss along the thin spine (middle still holding), general edgewear (a few corners rounded) and moderate soiling. Inside front cover has an elegant gift inscription ['To Bobby June, from Daddy' with date], otherwise a pristine interior. Actually a nice copy, though a bit fragile; again, see photos.
