First Edition Signed
Condition: Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good+. First Edition. First edition. Signed by the book's subject, Wisconsin Senator Joseph McCarthy, in ink on the front free endpaper and inscribed to former owner, one Katherine "Kay" Kehoe of Chevy Chase, MD, whose name and address are written on rear endpaper. [xviii], 413 pp. Light brown cloth with black spine lettering. Fine in Very Good+ dust jacket with small chip at head, some rubbing and very faint dampstain to back panel. A contemporary vindication of Senator McCarthy's anti-communist crusade by modern conservative luminaries William F. Buckley (following on the heels of his influential God and Man at Yale) and L. Brent Bozell. A book rarely found signed by McCarthy, as are books in general compared to letters. He died at age 48 in 1957.
