Leather. Condition: Average Plus. . 419 + 406 + xix + 492 + xvi + 470 pages. Contains the 16 books on the continental European reformation, but not books 17 to 20 on England. Dark red/brown leather binding with atractive gilt decoration to boards and spine, top of spine of Vol 1 torn and needs to be glued together with a suitable book repair glue to prevent a piece becoming detached (also Vol 4, but less so); slight old insect damage to last 3 pages of Vol 4 but these are still readable. D'Aubigne, a French Huguenot involved in the Haldane awakening in Geneva, lived 1794-1872.
