The book is in Very Good condition and was issued without a dust jacket. The book covers have some generalized toning and some light bumping and rubbing to the spine ends and corners. Seller: JDBFamily, Chico, CA, U.S.A.
Softcover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. "This 7.0 x 10.0 inch, 54 page softcover book is the first reprint of this title. The original dates from 1947 and this is the first printing in 1961 by Oak Publications, with 1961 shown on the title page. The paper covers are in very good condition with just some bit wear around the edges, and a bit of crinkling to the top front corner. The price is shown on the inside front corner. The text pages show very little wear and might be described in near fine condition. There are no marks, tears, or damage to the text block. Certainly one of the valuable aspects of this book is the eight-page forward by Woody Guthrie titles "My Life" - - with Woody telling of his early years, the people he traveled with, the influences upon him, and the establishment of his musical legend. Woody follows "My Life" with an additional seven pages of text featuring Lead Belly, and other folk singers. There is additional descriptive commentary and explanation sprinkled throughout the book, making this a valuable source of Guthrie information. 54 pages.".
