Frontispiece black and white photo of Bishop Lightfoot with tissue guard. Blue cloth with gilt letters on the front cover and the spine and a gilt bishop's seal on the front cover. Fore- and bottom edges untrimmed. Small spot on front cover, previous owner's signature and date on front free endpaper, else very good to near fine. No jacket. This copy is from the library of Robert B. Gooden, Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles and has his signature and the date "November 28th, 1903" on the front free endpaper. Also his rubber stamp on the front pastedown.
