Hard Cover. Condition: Good. No Jacket. Revised Edition. LACKS VOLUME FOUR. U.S. Secretary of State Robert Lansing's copy, with his bookplate on front endpapers (these were purchased from a family library in Henderson Harbor, NY, near his birthplace in Watertown, which included many other works owned by him). Spines faded and foxed with minor loss from head and foot, edges and endpapers foxed. 1900 Hard Cover. Five of six volumes. Red cloth, gilt titles. Illustrated with maps, plans, and engravings. Shea's 1866-1872 translation (Sabin 12137), from De Charlevoix's 1744 work (Sabin 12135), which originally appeared in three volumes.
