Book
Hardcover. Condition: Good. Nice antique 3/4 leather bound copy. The book is overall in good condition with some minor signs of wear and age. It is profusely illustrated by Robert Cruikshank (George Cruikshank's brother) with 20 black and white plates, an engraved frontispiece, an illustrated title page and a few other black and white in-text illustrations. The book doesn't have a publishing date, though the preface is dated 1841. The covers have some mild scuffing and wear with some edgewear to the boards. The binding is good and sound. There is an old bookplate adhered to front pastedown. The interior is toned from age with some scattered foxing. A few of the plates have some light & minor dampstaining and one of the plates has a tiny chip. Along with that, there may be the very occasional page with some kind of other minor imperfection such as a light bit of soiling or grubbiness, creased page corner, tiny chip or tear, etc. Generally though, it's a nice copy. The book measures approximately 8 1/2 inches by 5 1/2 inches and is 388 pages long.
