Condition: Good. c. 1860s. 12 orange stock cards, 7 x 3-1/2 inches, each card with two original photographs mounted side-by-side. Cards are flat, not curved. No titles, no photographer, no publisher given. One view shows the "Shadow of the Rock" , a very long covered incline railway with parallel walkway leading up to a viewing platform build in 1845. In the 1860s this railway had two wings to accomodate tourists but the card in this set appears to show only one side building with the name "Shadow of the Rock dressing room" where tourists could pay $1 and change into rainclothes. Thus we assume this view was taken before second wing was built. Good, cards not much worn; some fading of views; light wear and slight soiling on some images.
