    Goedeke VII, 429, 9, 7 - Hoffmann, Die Tonkünstler Schlesiens, Breslau 1830, S. 338 - vgl. Eitner VII, 254 (mit der Biographie, unser Druck in der Werkliste jedoch fehlend).- Einziges ermittelbares Exemplar, verschollener Druck.- Sammlung von Liedern, meist Vertonungen eigener Texte, die der frühere "Lecteur" (Vorleser) König Friedrich Wilhelms II. von Preußen selbst verfaßt hat. Goedeke vermerkt über den in erster Linie als Schriftsteller und Dichter bekannten Heinrich Siegmund Oswald (1751-1830), er sei "auch Komponist" gewesen. In der Wochenschrift "Der Breslauische Erzähler", ebenfalls einem Verlagserzeugnis aus dem Hause Graße, wurde die Liedersammlung in der Litterarischenn Beilage zur Nummer 44 vom 1. November 1800 folgendermaßen angekündigt: "Diese Sammlung Gesänge, die sich an gefälligen und leichten Melodien von den vorigen Arbeiten des Verfassers sehr auszeichnet, und gewiß mehr allgemeinen Beyfall finden wird, erscheint im Druck der hiesigen neu etablirten Noten-Officin bei Graßes seligen Erben, auf feinem Schreibpapier in klein quer Folio, mit einer saubern Tittel-Vignette,?" - Die Lieder Oswalds sind sehr einfach, teils durchaus anmutig, aber kaum von Anspruch. Der Text ist dem Klaviersatz lediglich unterlegt, auf eine eigene Zeile für die Gesangsstimme wurde verzichtet. Die Erzeugnisse Graßes als Musikverleger blieben sehr überschaubar, er muß nach wenigen, vielleicht kaum mehr als einem halben Dutzend "Probe-Werken" seine Tätigkeit in diesem Metier wieder eingestellt haben.- Titel etw. fleckig und gebräunt, sonst nur an den Rändern leicht gebräunt, unbeschnitten.- An der unteren Kante des Titels eigenhändige Widmung des Verfassers (ohne Unterschrift) an den tschechischen Sänger, Dirigenten und Komponisten Vincenc Tucek (1755-1820), laut Gerber (IV, 399) im Jahr 1801 "Musikdirektor zu Breslau" (so in der Widmung auch angesprochen).# Only detectable copy, lost print.
