This issue was the first of two to be published in 1970 and reprinted stories from the original title-series in the 1930s and 1940s. The covers are much worn all about. The spine has been repaired with brown packing tape. The covers are creased, marked but still resonant. They are secure and sure. The contents are tanned from paper quality, they have some short wear to the edges. However, the pages are also clean, clear, amenable, congenial, agreeably tidy. fk. The cloth is remarkable bright. In the dust jacket with darkening and periodic small closed and open tears to the edges. The deepest tear is closed and measures 2" deep. Novelist Raymond Otis (1930-1938) resided in Santa Fe, New Mexico for the last ten years of his life, and the landscape of New Mexico was the setting for his novels. Otis not only volunteered for the Santa Fe Volunteer Fire Department, but he also worked for the Indian Arts Fund and worked with the League of Spanish-Speaking Workers.

Hoffmann Price, Abner J. Gelula, Raymond A. Palmer, A. Merritt, J. Harvey Haggard, Edward E. Smith, P. Schuyler Miller, Lloyd A. Eshbach, Eando Binder, and Edmond Hamilton. The title page (designed by Hannes Bok) and table of contents were printed with the final issue. In 1946 Sam Moskowitz estimated that only thirty complete sets of COSMOS existed.
