Book
Trade Paperback. Condition: Used - Very Good. The monumentality and psychological drama of Paula Rego's paintings have established her as one of the most important figurative painters of today. Her powerful images explore the obsessions and fears of childhood which have helped form her adult vision. Born in Portugal in 1935, Rego has worked in Britain since 1976 and in recent years has established herself as an artist of international standing. This highly acclaimed book was first published in 1992, but since then Rego has produced an impressive range of new work. Bringing together a wealth of paintings, drawings and prints, alongside revealing documentary illustrations, this book has now been updated to include three new chapters and a revised chronology, bibliography and list of exhibitions. Very nice clean, tight copy free of any marks.
