Bird is a 1st English edition, 1840, there is a short Frederick Schiller story "The Dishonoured Irreclaimable" of 8 pages. + an anonymous work called Rinaldo Rinaldini by C. A. Vulpius (trans from the German) author is a pseudonym? 1841 + another anonymous story, "Konigsmarke, The Long Finn" , A story of the Vikings traveling to and lving in America) very rare by James Kirk Paulding 1839 + a 30 pages story by Andrew Picken (with title page) Eisenbach; Or, The Adventures of a Stranger. A Metropolitan Story". 1841 + a 2 page tale by Cyrus Cranky "The Mysterious Guest". + Elizabeth Helme "The Farmer Of Inglewood Forest". 1841. 162pp with an added tale by Leitch Ritchie "The Cheaterie Packman". A total of 463 pages, other than the very short stories each with new pagination and title pages. ALL scarce works. Small octavo with original half-calf and marbled paper boards, contents very good, covers rubbed a little at extremes, all firm. 1839-41.
