Philip Pearlstein is an American artist, known for his revival of Realism, with Modernist influence, as exemplified in his nude paintings. Originally working as an Abstract Expressionist landscape painter in the 1950s, his focus shifted to painting nudes in the early 1960s, in the process becoming and influential figure in contemporary American art. GOOD+ condition. Heavy fading along the spine, with otherwise minor general fading. Light soiling and edgewear.
