Selous. The author and his wife hunted buffalo, lion, leopard, eland, waterbuck, hippo, rhino and a variety of antelope. "There were tense hours when Mrs. Madeira became lost in the bush. A chronicle of a true, old-fashioned hunting expedition." (Czech p105) This copy in VG condition with light cover wear and fading to spine, internally quite clean. Both maps are in near fine condition.

First British edition in its original hunter green cloth with title in gold and a head of a cape buffalo in black on the front, top edge gilt, 304 pp + 129 photo plates and index. A well kept heavy volume. A nice tight copy. Signed by Author(s).
