Vintage script for the New York run of the 1981 British play. A series of conversations between the five women who frequent a Turkish bathhouse in London that has been set to close in order to be replaced by a leisure center and a parking complex. Initially opening at the Theatre Royal in London in 1981, the play made its Broadway debut on December 12, 1983, at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre, where it ran for 65 performances. Basis for the 1985 film directed by Joseph Losey, starring Sarah Miles and Vanessa Redgrave. Red titled Studio Duplicating Service wrappers, with credit for playwright Nell Dunn on the front wrapper. Title page present, undated, with credit for playwright Nell Dunn. 70 leaves, with last page of text numbered II.3.30. Xerographic duplication, rectos only. Pages Near Fine, wrapper Near Fine, bound with two gold screw brads.
