Paperback. Condition: Near Fine. First Edition. Pubisher's wraps, just a little rubbed and soiled -- but internally bright and clean. With 65 b/w photo-illustrations. From the library of Lena Horne, the incomparable performer and brave civil rights activist. This book was given to Horne in appreciation for her work on the documentary "Charles Honi Coles -- A Class Act of Tap," and bears lengthy inscriptions to her from Jim Swenson, Susan Pollard, Patsy Perkins, and George Hood, all of whom worked with Horne on the film. A wonderful association copy, rich with images of great performers, including Savion Glover, Gregory Hines, Coles (of course), and many more.
