First Edition
First Edition. 4to. 26cm x 18cm. Publisher's photographic paper covered boards. Some rubbing and scuffing, small tear to head of spine, a strong, solid copy. 72pp. Internally clean, ink ownership to front flyleaf, illustrated throghout with black and white photgraphs by Joe Gooden. A photographic essay detailing the often dangerous work of the World Vision Organisation in Vietnam during the war. Mainly a Christian organisation with an interest in discipleship, World Vision also embarked upon agricultural efforts, medical care projects and other humanitarian efforts aimed at alleviating the suffering of Vietnamese civilians. It was dangerous work, and the death and imprisonment of aid workers and missionary staff was not an uncommon occurence.
