Hardcover. Condition: VG- for age. 2nd Edition. Brown boards with lighter brown spine, white printed spine label (title and date only); a number of darker patches to covers and darkening to spine, slight corner bumping, otherwise clean and unworn, this seems to be binding as issued. xlvii (subscribers lists to xlviii) + 210, uncut fore-edge, otherwise internally clean, tight and unmarked; erasable pencil note by previous dealer to front end-paper: 'Cole 1332 By [Wallerius, J.G.] First published in Sweden (Upsala) in 1761' .An early faint erasable pencil sig. top t.p., narrow gutter opening before t.p. but remains firm. The 1st ed. was 1818 and the subscribers are divided in two lists, 1st and 2nd eds). Am baffled by note on f.e.p. as although Wallerius was indeed an eminent Swedish chemist this work is not mentioned on Wikipedia, while Count Gustavus Adolphus Gyllenborg is not among the several Count Gyllenborgs in there, and only appears in search for his authorship of this and earlier similar book, both in translation. 14.5 cm x 22.5 cm.
