4to and 8vo. Together 2 pp. With 1 autograph envelope. Correspondence with Maurice Delamain, director of Librairie Stock. The letter from 1937 is a request for a copy of the posthumous publication of Albert Thibaudet's "Histoire de la littérature française de 1789 à nos jours" (1936), of which he only owned an "incomplete set of advance copies" (transl.). - The letter from 1938 to thank Delamain for a personal letter, apparently in connection with the death of a friend named David Hine. - The dedication is equally addressed to Delamain: "À Monsieur Maurice Delamain bien cordial hommage". - All on stationery with printed address. The letter from 1937 stamped by Librairie Stock. Minor browning over all. Both letters minimally smudged.
