Paperback. Condition: Very Good. First Edition. Paperback. 8vo. pp. 110, [iii]. Vignette on title-page. Illustrations. Paperback. ISBN 0941086003. The author's name appears to be an anagram of Solve Problems. Illustrated book label loosely inserted with Jeremy Beadle's name handwritten in ink within an unfurled banner and the printed words "Blame no one other than David Wallechinsky (name handwritten in ink) for graciously enticing thy belligerent breeze to bloweth boldly unto the boundaries of thy corruption." A typed signed letter loosely inserted from Bruce Pennington to Jeremy [Beadle] written on A4 headed notepaper from Elodious Publications, Box 343, Brockport, New York 14420 dated March 15, 1983 and consisting of about 170 words in which he thanks Beadle for ordering 'Flatulence Denied!'. He returns a cheque in the name of J J A Gibson-Beadle for £6 made out to the publisher and signed by Beadle dated Feb 23 1983. The cashing of this cheque is too costly and complicated so Beadle is asked in the letter to send US dollars instead. Receipt for his payment in dollars is included. Pennington finishes by requesting that Beadle uses a typewriter in future as he can't read his handwriting. Newspaper cutting with handwritten date of 23/9/04, flyer and order form loosely inserted. David Wallechinsky (born 1948) populist historian and television commentator and the son of Irving Wallace (1916 Ð 1990) best selling author and screenwriter who collaborated with his son on 'The People's Almanac'. Jeremy Beadle (1948 Ð 2008) was a television and radio presenter, writer and producer. Spine very slightly rubbed, otherwise very good. Slight rubbing, otherwise very good.
