Diese Arbeit beschäftigt sich mit der Frage, wie diese Teams zusammenarbeiten und wie die Entwicklung und Aufrechterhaltung von Vertrauen unter diesen Umständen möglich ist. In diesem Zusammenhang wird das Konzept des swift trust erörtert. Außerdem werden zwei Studien vorgestellt, welche sich mit dem Thema Vertrauen in virtuellen Teams befassen. In der Studie Developing trust in virtual teams untersuchen Iacono und Weisband (1997) Interaktionen innerhalb virtueller Teams und deren Auswirkung auf das Vertrauen und die Gruppenleistung. Die von Kanawattabachi und Yoo im Jahre 2002 durchgeführte Studie, Dynamic Nature of Trust in Virtual Teams zeigt, wie sich Vertrauen in virtuellen Teams über die Zeit verändern kann. 28 pp. Deutsch.

Computerängstliche Personen empfinden die Interaktion mit Technik als negativ, meiden deren Benutzung und verfügen somit über weniger Fähigkeiten im Bezug auf Technik. Abschliessend wird auf das Konstrukt der Selbstwirksamkeit in Bezug auf Technik eingegangen. Selbstwirksamkeit ist im Zusammenhang mit Technik eine massgebende Persönlichkeitseigenschaft.
