With a frontispiece and seven further colour plates (as called for) by Rose Le Quesne. No date but the Told to the Children series was Edwardian and this edition has a gift inscription dated 1915. Pages are rough cut, and a little dusty to edges with the occasional finger mark to the margin. Sunned to spine and slightly to the spine-edge of the front board. Corners are slightly bumped. Previous owners' names to the endpaper including one in pink ink. Very clean, with bright gilt and beautiful, bright colour illustration to front. Bright, neat colour illustrated plates. An attractive edition. Good+, sound copy.
