No Jacket. 1st ed. xxxix+440, 7 col.plates on 5 pages ex-pagination, extensive ills. of all kinds from maps to site-photos and drawings/photos of artefacts etc.; prev.owner's small gilt label top front pastedown, faint single name 'Jane' centre top front end-paper which appears to be pencil but resists erasure, the only fault is very slight protrusion of leaves 295/6 and 297/8 which are either side of unpaginated coloured plate, this however appears to be a binding error and is of little consequence; blue cloth covers clean and unworn bar slight bump to bottom spine. This Congress was notable in particular for the two part Symposium on the Australopithecinae.
