4to. 1 p. mit gedr. Briefkopf Sergei Rachmaninoff | 505 West End Avenue | New York City". An die Gattin des Schweizer Musikers Alfred Pochon (1878-1959). Rachmaninoff bedankt sich für die Einladung des Konzerts des Flonzaley Quartets": Of course it would give me a pleasure to come to the concert of the Flonzaley Quartet on January 19th and I would be grateful to you if you send me the tickets. I much regret, however, not being in position to tell you when you could find me at home: Mrs. Rachmaninoff is now on the hospital and I do not expect her back before seven or ten days."In Sankt Petersburg besuchte Rachmaninow das dortige Konservatorium und erhielt neben Klavierunterricht auch Unterricht in Musiktheorie und allgemeinbildenden Fächern. Vgl.
