Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Near Fine. 2nd Edition. The sub-title of this work is: `A Breast Cancer Story'. (Women have told me its an excellent work in the field.) There is an afterword by Judy Caldwell of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. Olivotto (M.D.) on the d.j. blurb calls a life affirming account - in THIS case I tend to believe it - often it is just a cheap attempt at selling the book. MacPhee underwent treatment for breast cancer in 1991. This work reads like an adventure - which is the author's phrasing. It is not terribly medical, dietary or clinical, rather spirited, compassionate and tearful. 276 pages including a list of screening agencies addresses. Cond: Grey wrapper over red boards. Bright Picasso graphic at center. (Two faces/ one woman).D.J. has bent w/o tearing, it is price clipped. Bright, glossy and clean, as are internals. Gift inscription (ffep). Author signed half-title. UNillus. MacPhee is a poet in her other life - see:`Scarecrow'. Size: 8vo. Signed by Author(s).
