First Edition
Soft cover. Condition: Fine. First Edition. 1st printing. 4to pictorial glossy wraps. Unpag. Illustrated in b/w & some color. Seventy-five Russell items are pictured and described on facing pages. This copy is annotated with what is apparently the prices hammered down at the auction, whether the owner was present or got the information later. He/she has written in ink a hyphenated set of numbers with most, if not all, lots ("40-50") and underneath is a dollar figure written in ink and circled. Thus, #7, Wallace Coburn's Rhymes from a Round-up Camp, 1903, has "40-50 and circled 4,000. Another is a 5" x 81/4" watercolor and gouache, "Crossing the Missouri #2", the numeral 12 and then circled 13,000. Information for each lot is given, such as provenance and reference literature. Printed on glossy stock throughout. Several copies of this auction catalogue are available on the internet, but this copy is surely a scarce one if not unique. Fine.
