Staining and some light wear to the covers. Some plates have light foxing. Each plate has a loose "tissue" protector sheet; some of these are wrinkled or tattered on the edges. This copy belonged to James Bear, longtime director of Monticello, and has his name in ink plus a 1955 date and place.
Leather bound. Bound in full brown leather with gilt tooling and inside border by Blackwell, five raised bands on spine with gilt lettering and tooling. top edge gilt, silk end pages, 48, [1] pages.
