Hardcover. Condition: very good minus. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. reprint. This lower cost illustrated edition originally published by Sylvan Press, NY, 1947. Octavo, 8 1/2" tall, 153 pages, beige cloth with red titles on spine. A very good minus, generally clean hard cover edition, with minor shelf wear but light foxing to the endpapers and fore-edges ; hinges and binding solid, paper lightly yellowed. In a good, moderately worn dust jacket, with a dampstain on the back panels, and with the original price present. A nice reading copy only.

Small dent to lower center of spine. Small tear to outer edge of page 111-112 where uncut page was opened. Some tanning to pages, but finding tight.

LImited to 1499 copies this being number 1499. Flap from original jacket laid in. Front inner hinge starting, small spot to rear final four leaves, 3 of which are blank. Over all, Very good, binding solid and clean. Plot deals with the imaginary incident in life of Casanova, when he was about to return to Venice as a spy.
Condition: NF. Hardcover book bound in the publisher's decorative cloth. 28 cm. 153 pages. Contains black-and-white illustrations throughout. The book is in near fine condition. Previous owner's name/date/addresses written on the front loose end page. Hinges tight, interior pages mostly bright (a few pages show some smudges). Light edge wear/bumping to the cloth covers. Limited large paper edition of 1499 numbered copies (this being no. 356).
