Seller: PW Books, Andover, HANTS, United Kingdom
First Edition
Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Fair. 1st Edition. True first British printing with original unclipped jacket (12s 6d). Compiled by Lucy Selwyn and Laurier Lister. Introduced by Cecil Day Lewis, Peggy Ashcroft and Angus Morrison. Jacket has faults - namely patchy loss, few tears, edge/shelf wear, patchy browning, foxing, pushing/bumping to corners, the odd mark and a little /creasing/rubbing to edges. Boards are very good (having been well protected by the jacket) with a hint of pushing to corners, minor patchy browning and a little pushing/rubbing to head/tail of spine (not major). Pages are generally clean and the binding is tight. Book is square and true. End-papers little tanned with mild foxing. Top of pages slightly dusty. Minor foxing/odd mark to page edges, tops and bottoms. Very occasional small mark/spot of foxing to pages. Pages are a bit tanned. No other faults. All books described honestly and accurately. Paypal accepted.
