Cadogan himself. Originally published in 1856, with consecutive editions in 1857 and 1858, the text combined with these watercolor illustrations characterizes mid-19th century battle before the extensive use of photography. Contains a plan of battle of Balaklava fought in 1854. The text is that of the 3rd edition published by John Murray in 1858. Not price clipped. DJ has some rubbing, text pages are clean and unmarked. 288pp.
