Robert Benjamin Stacy-Judd [b. 1884] was a British architect, who was also an amateur archeologist, explorer and author. He was particularly interested in the Aztecs and the Mayas. He constructed several buildings in Southern California with Mayan themes, including the Aztec (sic!) Hotel in Monrovia, California. [see LA Times article March 25, 2001, a copy of which is laid in this book].

A fair to good copy with heavy wear at the cover edges and some fraying to the cloth at the corners and spine tips. Both hinges starting, but binding itself feels solid. Some pages with red pencil underlining and notations - not extensive thankfully. 336 pp., indexed, extensively illustrated including some black and white/ tri-color plates. Stacy-Judd flourished as an architect in southern California, embracing South American and specifically Mayan styles.
