Laid in are several publishers' adverts touting books-for-Christmas, one of these decorated by Saul Steinberg. Cover features the Mary Cecil contribution, "Through the Looking-Glass," a stay in an asylum for the insane. Vidal offers a story, "A Moment of Green Laurel".
