VOLUME II ONLY of a two volume set. Paged as i-xvi, 9-478. Hardcover: H 24cm x L 15cm. Original full leather binding; polished black leather boards with decorative stamping, some rubbing and slender scuffing along board edges with leather nicked at corners. Light brown leather spine has three compartments with decorative gilt stamping which remains reasonably bright despite some flaking, two maroon title labels retain their gilt lettering but with some wear along edges abutting front joint, small slender surface chip at lower front joint. Marbled edges quite faded with several old ink stains; marbled endpapers. Some foxing to foldout b/w frontispiece of Labna followed by obtrusively toned tissue guard; numerous b/w plates with those that still retain strongly toned tissue guards have more foxing than those that don't; other foxing and toning to leaves. Binding remains firm. Else a very good- antiquarian copy.
