Offered is an original flyer headlined "OUT NOW! - NATIONAL PEACE ACTION COALITION - March on Washington [Saturday] January 20 [1973]" issued in late 1972 or early 1973 by the Philadelphia Peace Action Coalition and the Student Mobilization Committee out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. A single-sheet handbill mimeographed, as issued, on both sides and measuring 8-1/2" by 11". Issued in advance of the 1973 Inauguration Day Protest to be held on January 20, the handbill begins with "You can fool all of the people some of the time - BUT YOU CAN'T FOOL ALL OF THE PEOPLE ALL OF THE TIME!" With photo of demonstrators (mimeograph quality), it continues: "Our demand of OUT NOW means the immediate and unconditional end to all U.S. intervention and aggression in Indochina." The verso contains a sobering illustration - headlined with a Kissinger quote ("Peace Is At Hand") - of a Vietnamese farmer telling his wife who is holding a baby, "Relax, the war's almost over" with U.S. planes dropping bombs overhead; the handbill also provides information about transportation, and contains a list of Sponsoring Organizations.

Offered is an original flyer headlined "Thieu is coming to Washington - PICKET THE PUPPET - Thursday, April 5 [1973] - White House - 4:30 PM - Rally at 6PM Lafayette Park" issued by the Washington Area Peace Action Coalition and Student Mobilization Committee out of Washington, D.C. No year stated, although 1973. A single-sheet handbill printed on one side and measuring 8-1/2" by 11". With an illustration of Thieu attached to puppet strings, the text reads in part: "Repression and brutality have become trademarks of the present Saigon government - a regime backed by U.S. money, equipment and personnel. There is wide concern for the quarter of a million Vietnamese political prisoners held by Thieu in U.S. financed prisons. Many have undergone inhuman torture. Many face execution - Our demand must be that the U.S. get TOTALLY AND UNCONDITIONALLY OUT OF S.E. ASIA." Light corner wear.

A pinback issued by the Student Mobilization Committee for their strike to gain more rights for high school students in the US. The committee also organized anti Vietnam War protests, peace vigils, etc. VERY GOOD condition. Minor rubbing to the face. Minor tarnishing to the reverse.
