ÔThe Sin of Harold DiddlebokÕ was written and directed by Preston Sturges and starred Harold Lloyd, Jimmy Conlin, Raymond Walburn, Rudy Vallee, Edgard Kennedy, Arline Judge, Franklin Pangborn, Lionel Stander, and introduced the lovely Frances Ramsden. The film tells the story of a former football star (Lloyd) who, as an adult, works as a rather mild clerk who dreams of marrying his office mate (Ramsden) - a dream dashed when he loses his job. When he tries to drown his sorrows in a nearby bar, he ends up on a wild adventure involving a lion and a host of hilarious misunderstandings.
