Early Ukrainian-Canadian booklet advocating for the establishment of Ukrainian credit unions as a means of attaining greater financial independence from the dominant banking institutions of the day, which imposed onerous demands upon Ukrainian immigrants (many of them farmers, and labourers), thereby, limiting their ability to secure loans and purchase property, land, or businesses. The author offers practical advice on how to organize and establish such facilities, an historical analysis, and the contemporary social and economic justification for such institutions. Small institional call sticker to the upper-left margin of the front cover, single unobtrusive institutional stamp to the lower-margin of the title page, else, contents without blemish with firm, sound binding; near fine.
