[Verso of title page has a handwritten key of the contents and at its end the writer, Yitzhak son of Vidal The Frenchman, adds: ?Ani Yitzhak son of [ ] Vidal HaTzarfati of blessed memory, knowing that one can forget, [ ] have attempted to produce this table of contents [ ] which I completed on Tuesday, the 21st day in the month of Tevet, in the year? [5]402. [= 1642 c.e.] The writer of these notes has at least one published work and several still in manuscript, available at the Israel National Library. Links to them available upon request. He was also a member of a Beit Din (a Jewish Court of law). Marginalia in a beautiful tiny hand. Some water stains and expert repairs, with some loss of text in first four leaves.
