Sie zeigen, dass sich hauptsächlich der Konsum von Musikvideos verändert hat. War der Zuschauer beim Musikfernsehen noch von der Kuration der Programmacher Von VIVA, MTV und Co. abhängig, hat sich im Netz auf Plattformen wie YouTube, Vimeo, Vevo, Ampya oder MyVideo eine On-Demand-Kultur entwickelt, die es dem Nutzer erlaubt, jederzeit und kostenlos das Musikvideo der eigenen Wahl abzurufen. Es fällt also schwer, von einer Krise des Musikvideos zu sprechen. Von den 100 bei YouTube meistgesehenen Clips sind 93 Musikvideos, jedes davon wurde weit über 100 Millionen Mal aufgerufen. Vielmehr ist das Musikvideo heute mehr denn je 'das wichtigste Instrument zur massenmedialen Bewerbung eines Pop-Stars und seiner Songs' und somit auch von hoher Relevanz für die Forschung im Bereich des Kulturmarketings.In dieser Arbeit soll untersucht werden, wie Popstars in Musikvideos zur Marke aufgebaut werden. Im Zentrum steht dabei das Konzept der Markenpersönlichkeit. 'Die Markenpersönlichkeit kennzeichnet die Gesamtheit menschlicher Eigenschaften, die mit einer Marke verbunden werden'. In vorangegangenen Untersuchungen von beispielsweise Jennifer L. Aaker wurde ein Set von Persönlichkeitsdimensionen- und Facetten definiert, die bei Marken als besonders positiv bewertet werden. In einer qualitativen Inhaltsanalyse soll untersucht werden, wie diese in den erfolgreichsten Musikvideos zum Ausdruck kommen. Dabei soll die Forschungsfrage im Mittelpunkt stehen, welche Marken-Persönlichkeitsdimensionen in den Musikvideos der größten Popstars der Gegenwart dominieren. 28 pp. Deutsch.

Es wird beschrieben, wie der gesamtgesellschaftliche Trend zur Individualisierung sowie veränderte strukturelle Arbeitsbedingungen in der Kultur- und Kreativwirtschaft einen neuen Typus von Kulturunternehmer hervorgebracht haben der Selbstverwirklichung in der Arbeit sucht und häufig unter prekären Existenzbedingungen lebt.In einem zweiten theoretischen Schritt wird die Entwicklung der subkulturellen Theorie von den in der Kriminologie beheimateten ersten Studien der 'Chicagoer Schule' über die wegweisenden jugendkulturellen Untersuchungen am Centre for Contemporary Cultural Studies in Birmingham hin zu einer ästhetischen Theorie der Subkultur gezeichnet. Dabei kristallisiert sich für diese Arbeit ein Subkultur-Begriff heraus, der den Fokus auf ästhetische Produktion von 'Kultur'-Produkten und -Prozessen sowie auf eine Abgrenzung vom kulturellen 'Mainstream' legt.Anhand des Konzepts des 'subkulturellen Kapitals' und des Konzepts vom 'Lernen in Szenen wird schließlich gezeigt wie sich Akteure der Subkultur innerhalb ihrer Subkultur Kompetenzen aneignen, die sie innerhalb wie außerhalb der Subkultur zur ökonomischen Existenzgründung einsetzen können.Darauf aufbauend wird schließlich der Begriff des Subkultur-Unternehmers eingeführt. Subkultur-Unternehmer sind neue Kulturunternehmer deren Prozess der Wertschöpfung weitestgehend auf dem Einsatz von 'subkulturellem Kapital' beruht.Im empirischen Teil dieser Arbeit werden Anhand von qualitativen Leitfadeninterviews mit 'Subkultur-Unternehmern' drei Fälle miteinander verglichen, die Lebenswirklichkeit, Einstellungen, Entwicklung, Handeln und Selbsteinschätzung von 'Subkultur-Unternehmern' verdeutlichen und in explorativer Weise die Beschreibung dieses neuen Sozialraum-Typus mit Leben füllen.
