Rare poet/author's story adaptation from William Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream", set to music by Felix Mendelssohn. In turquoise cloth boards with gilt lettering at spine, illustration of Bottom surrounded by faires stamped in red on front panel. Book has a dampstain to the cloth on the front boards and lacks the jacket, otherwise it is crisp, clean and internally unmarked. A terrific book looking for a jacket!.

Blue cloth lettered in gold at the spine and with a brown-stamped illustration to the upper board. With decorated endpapers, a title page decoration, six full-page colour plates and various colour and black and white drawings in the text. A touch of light marking to the cloth margins, and a small area of light miscellaneous soiling to the margin of three adjacent text leaves. A very good copy in non-price-clipped dust wrapper, lightly marked and edge-worn but with so significant loss. A handsome production, seemingly not published in the UK.
