Condition: Very Good. First Edition. Stated "First Edition October 1949;" 456 p., clean with much underlining, library stamps and playful all as part of intentional printed text; many inserts, including a telegram, newspaper articles, reader notes, map; binding tight; paper strong and only mildly age-toned; boards clean and unfaded but with slight rubbing at crown and foot of spine; slip case has slight wear and label with monkey emblem and names J.J. Abrams and Doug Dorst is broken. Slip case belongs to later edition published by Mulholland Books.
