First Edition
Hardcover. Condition: Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Fine. Trina Schart Hyman (illustrator). First Edition; "A" in Letter Sequence. First printing. Illustrated by Trina Schart Hyman, a Caldecott Medalist, and she particularly enjoyed illustrating this book. It shows--the illustrations are lovely. The book consists of a series of brief stories, almost folk tales, about Guguze, a little boy who lives in Moldavia (part of the Soviet Republic prior to the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991). Charming little stories. Book is Fine--tight, square, unmarked, pages clean and crisp. Dust jacket also fine, and perfectly clean, particularly impressive as it is mostly white. Very nice copy. Not Signed.
